【摘要】:Anyresidualfattyacidandesters(FAx0026;E)shouldbepresentonlyatverylowlevelsinpurifiedglycerine.Thisprocedurerequirestheadditionofameasuredvolumeofsodiumhydroxide,inexcessoftheamountactuallyneededtoreactwithFAx0026;Eintheglycerinesample.Afterboiling,theexcesssodiumhydroxideisbacktitratedwithstandardizedhydrochloricacid.Thequantityofthesubstancebeingtitratediscalculatedasthedifferencebetweenthevolumesofthesodiumhydroxidesolutionoriginallyadded,correctedbymeansofablanktitration,andthatwasconsumedbythetitrantinthebacktitration.Note18212;Thestandardizedsolutionsforsodiumhydroxideandhydrochloricacidarecommerciallyavailable.1.1Thistestmethodprovidesthequantitativedeterminationofthefattyacidandestercontentinpurifiedglycerinbythetitrimetricmethod.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.3Thisstandardmayinvolvehazardousmaterials,operationsandequipment.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.SpecificprecautionsarelistedinSection8.
